The Pocono Record welcomes new sponsor Stroud Foto in its annual Pocono Photo of the Year Contest.
This year the theme is Pocono Seasons. We’re asking readers to submit their favorite photos of seasons in the Poconos. The only stipulation is that the photo must have been taken here in the Poconos within the last year.
You must tell us when and where the photo was taken. Please note that previously submitting a reader submitted photo to PoconoRecord.com does NOT automatically enter you into this contest; you must submit the photo again by following the instructions below.
Our readers will vote to select the 10 finalists. From the finalists, our panel of Pocono Record editors will select the winners. All of the winning photos will be published in the print version of the Pocono Record sometime in January.
How to submit your entry
Click on the "Submission" tab. Fill out the form and upload your photo. Remember to type in a title and description. Entries must be submitted by Friday, Jan. 8, 2010.
How to vote for the finalists
Click on the "Vote" tab. Browse through the entries in each category, select your favorite one, and click on "Vote." To view a larger image for each photo, mouse over the thumbnail image. Voting begins on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010. The final day to cast your ballot is Friday, Jan. 15, 2010.
Sponsors and Prizes
The grand prize winner will get a Nikon Coolpix camera, courtesy of Stroud Foto, 724 Main St., Stroudsburg.
We’ll also pick runners-up representing each season, spring, summer, autumn and winter. Those chosen will get a $25 gift certificate to Stroud Foto.
